March Madness – over for another year

We love March and the busy time that is the St. Patrick's Day season. It's fun, it's crazy and it's a little bit exhausting. A long time ago one of the local Irish musicians said that his band earned fully a third of their annual income in March. That's a lot of playing in a short space of time! We're thankful for the five gigs in ten days that we played, for the places that had us come and play, and especially for the wonderful, enthusiastic crowds.

Now we're into April and while it was great fun to play all those specifically Irish gigs, we'll be back into doing our usual mix of Celtic, folk, pop and other genres. It seems a long time since we've done that as we played a lot of Christmas music starting in early December, then had a couple of months to regroup and work on some new (to us) songs, then it was all Irish for a month. So we're looking forward to debuting new arrangements as well as revisiting some that we just haven't played in awhile. And of course if you come and see us, please feel free to shout out requests. If we know it, we'll play it.

Here's our upcoming schedule...

On Saturday, April 25th we'll be helping our dear friends at Thornbee Farm's Organic Press to open their season. From their newsletter:

The OP - will be kicking off the season on April 25th & 26th for "Roll out the Barrels" from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. This unique event sponsored by the Lake Ontario Wine Trail is always a regional favorite. We will be bottling our wine shortly. To get tickets Lake Ontario Wine Trail

NOTE – you don't need a ticket to come to the winery! That's just for the extra perks of the Wine Trail. So come on out and enjoy some great company, music and of course wine. (Other drinks, including non-alcoholic are available too.)

Thornbee Farm/Organic Press Winery is located at 915 Kuttruff Road, Walworth, NY. https://thornbeefarm.com/ https://theorganicpress.com/

On Saturday, May 16th we'll be returning to the Little Theatre Cafe, playing from 7:00-9:00pm. The Little Theatre Cafe is at 240 East Avenue, Rochester, NY. (The cafe entrance is around the corner from the main Theatre entrance on Winthrop Street) https://thelittle.org/cafe

The Macedon Summer Concert series returns to the Lock 30 Canal Park brought to you by the Macedon Historical Society. It will be starting on Thursday, June 18th. We'll be playing that first concert, 6:00 – 8:00pm in the Village of Macedon Elmer Clark Pavillion.

And on Friday, July 17th we'll be back at the Little Theatre Cafe, 7:00-9:00pm.

We'll update as more details become available.
